Braham put on IR; Jones downgraded

12/29/2006 - Cincinnati, OH (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Cincinnati Bengals placed retiring center Rich Braham on injured reserve Friday while fellow starter, left tackle Levi Jones, was downgraded to questionable after missing practice for the second straight day.

Braham suffered a knee injury in the second game of the season and has not played since. The Bengals will hold a pregame ceremony for the 13-year veteran before Sunday's season finale against Pittsburgh.

The 36-year-old West Virginia product was a third-round pick by Arizona in the 1994 draft, but he never played for the Cardinals and appeared in three games for the Bengals late in the '94 season.

After an ankle injury in the preseason cut short his 1995 campaign, Braham became a mainstay in the lineup at the start of the '96 season. He has started 142 of the 146 games he has played for the Bengals.

To fill his spot on the roster, Cincinnati signed running back Quincy Wilson from the practice squad.

Jones, meanwhile, has been hampered by a knee injury for much of the season and had arthroscopic surgery in mid-October. He finally returned to the lineup last week versus Denver.
